About This

• Beautiful - Velvet Queen Sunflowers (Helianthus var. Velvet Queen) take a twist of color on your classic sunflower blossom. The flower ranges from yellow-orange to dark red in color. Growing a sunflower is also a great educational project for kids. Minimum of 1.5 g per packet (about 70 seeds).
• Productive - Sunflowers germinate in 7-10 days when soil temps are 70-80°F. Plant 1” deep and space 18” apart in an area with full sunlight. This variety will grow 7-10’ tall with a spread of 1-2’. Flowers will mature in 75-100 days, plant in USDA zones 2-11.
• Pollinator Friendly - Bees love the nectar in sunflowers and will travel around helping pollinate your garden. Towards the end of the season, birds also love to come and eat the dried seeds as well.
